LOS ANGELES Ca., Dec.2 (TOTI) — The great success of the film Twilight has thrust 23 year old Kellan Lutz to sex symbol status.

Prior to his breakout success playing the part of Emmett Cullen, Lutz worked as an Abercrombie & Fitch model and had various roles in a number of television shows, but nothing prepared him for the love and adolation of his young fans.

Kellan Lutz recently told Teen magazine, “A little girl came to (the Twilight) set and asked, ‘Kellan, what does it feel like to be a sex symbol?’ I couldn’t believe she said that to me! I didn’t want to burst out laughing, but how do you answer that?”

Kellan Lutz didn’t let the young girls comment get to his head.

He continued, “I definitely don’t consider myself a sex symbol. That’s like Matthew McConaughey and his whole no-shirt thing. Still it was really cute to hear her say that.”

Kellan Lutz stars along side Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Ashley Greene, Billy Burke and Nikki Reed in the vampire love story based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel Twilight.

Lutz will reprise his role as Emmett Cullen in New Moon, the sequel to Twilight. It’s expected that filming on the new movie will begin in early 2009.
